About us
Mount Royal United Church has fostered a caring and generous community of faith for sixty-seven years:  Old enough to have forged cherished traditions  Young enough to welcome exciting new spiritual leadership.
We are an open and welcoming community of faith regardless of age, race, class, gender, orientation, or physical ability. We welcome children as full and appreciated participants in our midst, bringing ideas and unique talents which can inspire us. We strive to eliminate all barriers which may limit the full participation of our members, adherents, and guests, and are committed to creating an environmentally safe atmosphere. We continue to explore available programs/options in order to achieve maximum energy efficiency. We see ourselves as a community of faith blessed with abundant gifts, many of which have not yet been realized to their full potential.
We are dedicated to ensuring that we continue to move forward on our faith journey through our many committed and caring members who give selflessly of themselves, their time, and their energy, both within the walls of the church and in the larger community.

Rev. Scott Stuart
Office Manager Esther Mah
Rev. Scott began his journey into ministry at Mount Allison University, earning a B.A. in Religious Studies and Canadian Studies. He subsequently completed a Master of Divinity at the Atlantic School of Theology and was ordained by the United Church of Canada in 2012.
Throughout his studies, his passion for pastoral care flourished, leading him to pursue further education in this area. He achieved advanced standing in the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care and has served in various ministerial roles, including chaplaincies at the IWK Children's Hospital, the Veterans Memorial Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and has served United Churches across the country.
Since 2009 he has also served as a chaplain within the Canadian Armed Forces, a role he continues to enjoy.
Rev. Scott is married to the love of his life, the Rev. Catherine Stuart. Together, they find immense joy in raising their son, Ethan. In between all the busy moments of life and ministry you can often find Rev. Scott grappling with the existential dread of laundry and the ever-present threat of misplaced keys – hoping, of course, that one day he'll find a way to stop losing them".
Esther Mah may be new in the Mount Royal Office, but has been an active member for many years. She brings many years of office experience. She also is a long time employee of MacArthur's Nurseries and likes to use her skills there to decorate and tend to the church plants.
